I want to cultivate more joy in my life, and this gangling calf is the perfect image, the vision, I want resting in the front of my mind during my days. Not just the calf, but the reason behind the reckless celebration. Christ has indeed risen and brought healing to our broken lives. Christ will once again rise, and our healing and joy will be complete.

I can't fully picture us all, unencumbered by the self-consciousness (and sin) we once had, dancing mightily in the sonshine (too corny?). I have seen a calf though, and I can picture one of those bouncing around. May I experience a little of that giddiness today.
